Toba Eye Drop 0.3% 5ml

Toba Eye Drop is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that is used as a medicine for treating eye infections such as staphylococci and conjunctivitis. 

How it works?

Toba Eye Drops work by preventing the bacteria from producing proteins involved in the growth and spread of infection. 

Important information about Medicine

Intake of Tobramycin in the form of a medicine fights bacterial infections causing conjunctivitis and other eye infections. Apart from this, it prevents the infection from spreading.

Dosage information

Toba Eye Drops are to be applied 3 to 4 times a day or as directed by the physician. One needs to contact the doctor about length of the course and correct dosage to get completely rid of the infection. One needs to tilt the head back and then put one drop in the eye being treated. The eye in which the drop has been added needs to be closed for few minutes and then can be opened. Once opened one can wipe out the water coming out of the eyes softly.

Toba Eye Drop 0.3% is available in the strength of 5ml.

What if you miss a dose?

Try and not to miss the dose and make sure that you add drops as many times as the doctor directed.

What if you overdose?

Do not put drops in a dosage that exceeds the one prescribed as this could cause permanent harm to the eyes. In case, you do, call your health care practitioner for advice.

Things to be taken care of

For anyone who has glaucoma it gets imperative to inform the doctor before using Toba Eye Drops as this could even lead to increased ocular pressure. If you have any infection in the eye, disclose this to the doctor. Although the Toba Eye Drops are suitable for all, the ones who are pregnant or lactating need to talk to the doctor before using this medicine. Do not adjust the dosage without the approval of your doctor as this could do more harm that good. Always use the Toba Eye Drops as the doctor instructed.

Side Effects

Some of the unwanted side effects attached with Toba Eye Drops include:

§  Tender eyes

§  Discomfort

§  Irritation in eyes or on the eyelid

§  Burning sensation in the eyes

§  Swelling of the eyelid

§  Slow healing of the wounds

§  Increased ocular pressure

If any of these occur, contact the doctor immediately before the condition worsens. 

Interaction with other drugs

Toba Eye Drops might interact with ethacrynic acid, frusemide and neuromuscular blockers. If already using any medicine or any eye drops, make sure that you inform your doctor about this before using Toba Eye Drops.
