Pentids is natural penicillin that is used to treat urinary tract, respiratory tract and other infections of skin, soft tissues and even sinuses.

How it works?

This antibiotic slows down the growth of bacteria and prevents then from reproducing. This is done by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis by rising out the osmotic pressure. This medicine works on microbes such as actinomyces, clostridia, bacillus anthracis, corynebacterium diphtheria and neisseria gonorrhea.

Dosage information

The dosage depends on the severity of infection, age of the patient and patient’s medical history. Pentids should be taken only when prescribed by the doctor and in the correct dosage.

What if you miss a dose?

If you miss a dose, you can take it as and when you remember, just make sure that the time for next dosage should be at least 10 to 12 hours.

What if you overdose?

In case of medicine overdose, the doctor, local pharmacist or the poison center needs to be informed without delay.

Things to be taken care of

This medicine should not be taken by anyone who is allergic to penicillin or amoxicillin. If pregnant or breastfeeding, take this medicine only after a doctor prescribes it to you. if you have asthma, liver or kidney problems or if you are hypersensitive talk to your doctor in detail before taking this medicine. If taking an oral contraceptive, then too the doctor needs to be informed as this medicine could stop the contraceptive from working. This medicine is to be taken by kids above the age of 16 and that too after consulting the doctor.
