Dosage:
Moxicip Eye Drop contains an active ingredient, Moxifloxacin, used in the treatment of Bacterial Infections of the eye. Moxicip Eye Drop is a prescription based drug and is available in various strengths and other substitutes. Consulting your doctor before using the medicine about the frequency and dosage will help you as severity of the disease differs from patient to patient.
Adults are advised to take Moxicip Eye Drop at a fixed time with or without food. It is to be used cautiously in pregnancy, breastfeeding women, and patients with myasthenia gravis and tendon rupture. Doseages must be adjusted for each patient according to the severity or interactions with other diseased conditions.
How Much Of The Moxicip Eye Drop (Moxifloxacin) to Be Used:
Moxicip Eye Drop should be taken in the dose as prescribed by your doctor. Do not increase or reduce the dose as per your choice. It can add adverse effects of the antibiotic.
How To Take The Moxicip Eye Drop (Moxifloxacin):
Moxicip Eye Drop dose should be taken at a fixed time regularly as prescribed by your doctor. Use it by holding the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Then, the dropper must be squeezed gently and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Close the eye and put pressure on the corner of the eyes towards nose for atleast 2 min. Then wipe off the extra Liquid with a clean tissue paper.
For How Long Should You Continue Using Moxicip Eye Drop (Moxifloxacin):
You are always advised to take Moxicip Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. Do not start/stop using this medicine yourself. Do not take the medicine in smaller or larger amount or for longer period than recommended.
Complete the course as prescribed to you by your doctor otherwise it can lead to recurrence of the infection.
Overdose:
Contact your doctor or reach nearby medical facility immediately if you are observing the overdose symptoms like tendonitis, tenderness in joints and ligaments, itchy skin, rashes, blood in stool, swelling in face and mouth, etc.
Missed Dose:
Take every dose of Moxicip Eye Drop at a fixed time regularly. If you missed the dosage try to take it as soon as you remember. Skip the dosage if it is the time for the next dosage but do not take double dose to make up for the missed one.

Things To Remember:

Do not touch tip of the Dropper while using it and finish it within a month once opened

You should not take part in activities that require clear vision until you are sure that you can perform such activities safely as your vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after administering this Eye Drop

Keep 10-15 min interval between two eye drops if you are using multiple eye drops at the same time

Clean your hands and eyes before and after use of Eye Drop. Try to keep container contamination free.
