This drug has a generic name levonorgestrel, which is
marketed under the brand name Plan B. It is also sold under various brand names
across the world. Levonorgestrel is a female hormone that stops ovulation (egg
release from ovary). This pill is used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected
sex or if other contraceptive methods have failed like condom tear or missing,
or other oral contraceptive pill fails. This pill will prevent from pregnancy
by causing alterations in your cervical mucus and uterine lining which makes it
