How it works?

Metformin Hydrochloride works by lowering the high blood glucose (hyperglycemia) and then helping your body to make more use of the insulin released by pancreas. In short term, it functions by suppressing the glucose production by the liver. While, Glimepiride is a third-generation oral hypoglycemic drug that stimulates the production of insulin from pancreatic beta cells and then increases the sensitivity of body cells to the insulin. It binds with potassium channel and depolarizes the membrane. By following this process, it actuates calcium ion inflow and induces insulin secretion.
