COBIX 100mg

COBIX is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is usually prescribed in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis.

COBIX works by blocking and reducing COX-2 enzymes that are responsible for causing pain and inflammation in the body. Regular intake reduces the number of pain causing hormones and this brings in relief for the patient.

Recommended dosage of COBIX is of 200mg on the daily basis, the doctor would decide on this looking at the pain and swelling and overall condition of the patient.

What if you miss a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Make sure that the intervals between the doses are evenly spaced.

What if you overdose?

Do not increase or decrease the dosage unless instructed by the doctor. In case you take multiple doses by mistake or notice symptoms such as nausea, hives and drowsiness seek immediate help from your doctor, nearby poison center or local medical emergency unit.

Things to be taken care of

COBIX should not be taken by the people suffering from asthma, anemia, blood-related disorders and high blood pressure. This medicine is not recommended for ladies who are pregnant and breast-feeding; even the ones who are trying to conceive need to notify the doctor about the same. Always take this medicine with plain water during or after the meals. Do not take this medicine unless prescribed by the doctor as it might not work well for every patient.

Do not start or stop any new medicine when taking COBIX and avoid taking any multivitamin supplement or any herbal product too as this could interfere in the absorption of the drug.
