Lisinopril is an ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor drug which is prescribed primarily for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), congestive heart failure, and to improve the heart failure chances in a patient who have had heart attack.  It is prescribed for other conditions which are not mentioned here.
