OFLOX-TZ is
an antibiotic used to treat genitor urinary, gastro intestinal, respiratory and
skin infections.
How
it works?
OFLOX-TZ helps fight
bacteria that are resistant to other drugs and prevents any such infection from
re-occurring. This medicine works on the people undergoing an anti-bacterial
therapy to fight severe bacterial infections in eye or ear.

Tinidazole Ofloxacin is
used to treat peritonitis, multi drug resistant tuberculosis, typhoid fever,
gonorrhea, and ear and eye infections.

What
if you miss a dose?
If you miss the dose,
take it as soon as you remember, just make sure that the time to the next dose
should not be near, if it is the time to take the next dose, forget about the
missed one and follow your regular routine.

if you overdose?
In case, one overdoses,
the doctor needs to be informed immediately. If one notices symptoms such as
dizziness or vomiting the local poison center needs to be called up without any
delay.
Things to be taken care of
OFLOX-TZ is not meant for
the people who are hypersensitive, pregnant, trying to get pregnant, breast
feeding, allergic, suffering from neurological disorders and having body
dyscrasias. People suffering from epilepsy, renal impairment or myasthaenia
gravis and kids below the age of 18 should not take this medicine.

Interaction
with other drugs
Interaction with
probenecid brings down the elimination rate. Intake of supplements and antacids
might bring down the absorption rate for ofloxacin. Intake of cimetidine might
add to the contractions. People with diabetes need to monitor the blood sugar
levels regularly as this medicine might react with the anti diabetic medicines.
Corticosteroids might even lead to tendon rupture. Patients who have been
taking medicines for seizures and QT should avoid taking OFLOX-TZ. If one is
taking any other medicine, a supplement, an herbal medicine or any other drug,
the same needs to be informed to the doctor to avoid any such contradictions
from occurring.
