Monocef-O CV 200 Mg/125 Mg Tablet (Cefpodoxime & Clavulanic Acid) contains two active ingredients Cefpodoxime & Clavulanic Acid.  Cefpodoxime is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria by preventing them from creating their own protective covering which is required for their survival in the human body. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and increases the activity of Cefpodoxime against bacteria.
