Ledercort prevents the
release of inflammatory substances in the body. This adrenocortical
steroid drug comes in both injection and tablet form. When this drug is
injected into the joints space, it works on treating joint inflammation issue,
arthritis, bursitis or tennis elbow. Whereas, its tablet heals various nasal
allergies caused due to hay fever or seasonal allergies.
Important
information about Medicine
This medicine isn’t
prescribed for the children below 2 years of age. Traimcinolone
affects the immune system and reduces the white blood cells in the body. Its
increased dosage might cause Osteoporosis. It is advisable to consider regular
eye check-ups when taking this drug for over a long period.

if you miss a dose?
If due to any reasons you

Overdose of Ledercort can
prove out to be very fatal, it can be even life threatening. Its intake for a
longer period can cause thinning of skin, skin bruising, more growth of facial
hair, acne, impotency and irregular menstrual cycle.
Things

You should strictly
adhere to the dosage periods recommended by your doctor. The tablet of this
drug should be swallowed as whole, it should not be taken half or broken. And
its injection should be injected towards a soft tissue or space near the joints.
Side
Effects
Here is the list of the
side effects caused by the intake of Ledercort-
§ swelling in lips, face,
throat or mouth, difficulty in breathing, lethargy, skin hives, nausea, changes
in appetite and weight, fever, body aches, chills, symptoms of flu, pain in
muscles, depression, irregular heart beat, sores or white spores inside the
nose, lips or mouth, emergence of various eye issues such as blurred vision,
halos or eye pain.
§ The less serious side
effects include- burning, bleeding or stinging in the nose, sore throat,
sneezing after intake of medicine, coughs, watery eyes, runny nose, dizziness,
headache, vomiting and changing of smell or taste into unpleasant one.
Interaction
with other drugs
There are number of
medicines that interact with Ledercort. The list includes- contraceptive pills,
blood thinners such as warfarin, diabetes drugs, cyclosporine, rifampin,
anti-inflammatory drugs that are non- steroidal, seizure medications, cancer
treating drugs, muromonab-CD3, basiliximab and other steroids such as
azathioprine, efalizumab, mycophenolate mofetil and many others. Let your
doctor know about all the medicines you are taking any, till date.
