anti-inflammatory drug that is used to lower down pain and swelling in various
joints and body parts. This medicine might be used to treat conditions like mild
body ache and fever too.

bringing down the number of pain and swelling causing hormones in the body,

Ibuprofen is used to

headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, injuries and arthritis.
Dosage information
Recommended dosage
is of 200 to 600 mg daily, however the doctor would decide on looking at the
overall condition of the patient. The patients should not exceed the dosage
beyond 1.2gm daily as this could lead to severe side effects.

What if you miss a dose?

center or seek help from a medical emergency center immediately.
Things to be taken care of
IBUGESIC falls in
pregnancy category D, thus it should not be taken by the ladies who are
pregnant, breast feeding or even the ones who are trying to conceive. Patients
suffering from blood related disorders should refrain from using IBUGESIC.
Patients with a medical history of stroke, bleeding problems, asthma or any
kind of allergy need to notify doctor about the same before taking this
medicine. Intake of this medicine might cause sleepiness, so avoid taking it
during the wee hours, take it preferably before going to bed.
Side Effects
Some minor to major
side effects that have been reported by some patients after taking in IBUGESIC
are:
• Epigastric pain
• Fullness of gi tract
• Abdominal cramps
• Blood in stools
• Abdominal distress
• Nausea
• Constipation
• Dizziness
• Nervousness
• Headache
• Skin rash and itching

• Fluid retention

Interaction with other drugs
There are several
drugs which might interact with IBUGESIC, these include:
• Fluoxetine
• Methotrexate
• Warfarin
• Aspirin or other NSAIDs
Do not start or stop any new medicine without consulting your
doctor while taking IBUGESIC. Do not take any herbal product or vitamin
supplement as this could interfere in the absorption of this drug.
