Side Effects

You may need medical care in the following conditions: headache, dizziness, pain in joints and muscles, diarrhea, muscle cramps/weakness, severe pain and tenderness in muscles, tiredness, anemia, hair loss, interstitial lung disease, depression, hot flushes. Drug interactions

It is strictly recommended to not take this medicine along with Cyclosporine because it can increase the side effects of Simvastatin-Ezetimibe by seven folds. Simultaneous administration of Warfarin andSimvastatin-Ezetimibe can increase the risk of bleeding disorders. Don’t consume antacid with this drug as it decreases the absorption of Simvastatin-Ezetimibe. Many other drugs which can possibly interfere with Simvastatin-Ezetimibe are: Nicotinic acid and Gemfibrozil, Amiodarone, Antifungal drugs, Colchicine, Boceprevir, Niacin, Fluconazole, Ketoconazole, Ranolazine, Telapvir, Voriconazole, Ciclosporin, Colchicine, Verapamil, Ranolazine etc.

Things to be taken care

Avoid a high fat diet and alcohol consumption while taking this drug. Don’t take grapefruit and related products while being treated with this medicine.
