Distaclor antibiotic is used to treat bacterial infections
in the body such as pneumonia, pharyngtitis and cystitis.

it works?
This medicine treats infections caused by susceptible
microorganisms. This medicine has been found effective in treating urinary
tract infections such as pyelonephritis and even prevent rheumatic fever from
occurring.

information about Medicine
Cefaclor antibiotic is used for treating moderate to
severe bacterial infections in the body such as otitis media, kidney infections,
sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections and consillitis.
Dosage
information
Adults are recommended to take 500mg daily or as directed
by the doctor. The dosage can be increases to three capsules a day if the
infection appears severe. This medicine is not recommended for children and
patients undergoing dialysis.

if you miss a dose?

to be taken care of
This medicine should not
be taken by the ones who are hypersensitive to cephalosporin or any other
constituents present in this medicine. If allergic to any antibiotic do not
take this medicine without consulting your doctor else it could lead to skin
rashes, itching or even difficulty in breathing. If you are allergic to
penicillin inform your doctor about this before taking Distaclor. If going in
for a urine or blood test, notify your doctor about this. If pregnant,
lactating or trying to conceive ask your doctor before taking this medicine.
Side
Effects
Distaclor can cause some side effects, although these
might not bother all. These include wheeziness, swelling of face or eyelids,
blistering of skin, bloody or watery diarrhea, vomiting, urticaria, nervousness,
agitation, muscle stiffness, itching or burning sensation in vagina and
insomnia. You need to inform your doctor if any of these symptoms tend to
bother, make that you seek immediate medical attention.
Interaction
with other drugs
Inform your doctor if taking medicine for allergy, asthma,
epilepsy, diabetes or blood pressure. Distaclor might interact with warfarin or
any other blood thinning medicine, probenecid and even an antacid. Do not take
this medicine with an herbal medicine or a dietary supplement as this might
lead to slower absorption of the medicine.
Make sure that you do not take this medicine while taking any
anti depressant and the constituents present might interact. It is strongly
advisable not to begin taking any new medicine till the course of Distaclor
gets complete. In case, you notice any symptoms or feel uncomfortable, inform
your doctor immediately.
