Cifran OD is an
antibiotic that is used for treating bacterial infections such as gonorrhea,
typhoid, tuberculosis, conjunctivitis, gynecological infections, soft tissue
infections prophylaxis and chancroid.

Ciprofloxacin belongs to
the class of quinolone antibiotics. This antibiotic works on pseudomonal
lung infections, prophylaxis of meningococcal meningitis, IV susceptible
infections, otic otitis externa and otitis media.

In adults, the prescribed
dosage varies from 250mg to 750 mg daily depending on the type and severity of
infection. Always take the dosage as prescribed by your doctor as excessive or

if you miss a dose?

with calcium rich foods and dairy products. If taking any nutritional

by the doctor. Patients suffering epilepsy or CNS disorders need to notify the
doctor before taking this medicine and ensure that adequate hydration is
maintained. This medicine should not be used to by children below the age group
of 18 years.

with other drugs

products with which Cifran OD might interact such as antacids containing
magnesium and aluminum, probenenid, oral anticoagulants, ciclosporin and

constituents might interfere in the working. If you are on any medicine, inform
this to your doctor. Maintain a time gap of 2 to 6 hours between the medicine
and anything you eat to avoid any such interference from occurring.
