Budecort rotacaps 200mcg contains a generic drug named Budesonide belonging to steroid family. It prevents the release of inflammation causing chemicals in the body. Budesonide is used to prevent asthma and breathing problems. It has anti inflammatory action to reduce the inflammation caused by asthma.

Budesonide the main ingredient of Budecort rotacaps 200 mcg when inhaled will help to prevent asthama attack.  It will not treat the asthma which has already started.

Important information about Budesonide

Budesonide is a manmade steroid used for treating asthma. It has a potent anti-inflammatory action that reduces the inflammation. The drug should not be inhaled to treat the asthma attack which is already started which will not give you any relief. Even after the usage of the medicine if you don’t get any relief then you need to tell your doctor in that case.

 Pregnant mothers should consult their doctors before using this medicine because the drug may enter into the breast milk and may be risky when you happen to feed the baby later on.

Budesonide drug is not prescribed for children who are below 6 years of age.

What if you miss a dose?

Avoid taking an overdose because the side effect are quite serious immediately consult the doctor and take necessary medical aid and advice. Being a steroid if taken for a longer time will result in harmful effects like thinning of the skin, fat deposit, acne etc
