Asthalin hfa inhaler 100 mcg contains an active ingredient namely Salbutamol. It is used to cure asthma and to reverse airways obstruction. It lets the airways to open and makes breathing easier. Also, it does relaxes the muscles and for passage of air in the lungs.

Important information about Salbutamol

If you stop taking the medicine suddenly, it may let you to be at the reverse position. Even if it is giving good results, don’t stop taking it until and unless the doctor says you to do so. This medicine does not suit everyone. So, you should take it with proper care. Before getting this medicine prescribed, you should tell you medical history to the doctor. Get doctors’ advice right away if you don’t find any improvement in your body. Get your progress checked by regular visiting the doctor.

Dosage information

Generally, the dosage varies from patient to patient. The quantity of the medicine you should take also depends upon the strength of the chemical used in it. And it also varies depending on the body weight. For adults and children of age over 4 years it is recommended to take 2 puffs after a gap of every 4 to 6 hours. For children less than 4 years, the doctor’s advice is must. If you have diabetes or heart disease, don’t take it at all.

What if you miss a dose?

If you realize, you have missed any dose take it immediately if it not the time to take second dose. Never take double dose, if there is no time gap between two dosages, avoid taking one.

What if you overdose?

If you took excess of medicine, it could be harmful for your body. So, you need to take proper medical advice as soon as possible. Because, its overdose gives very complex result.
