Aerocort inhaler 50 mcg contains active ingredient like Beclomethasone Dipropionate / Levosalbutamol. It is used to prevent asthma attacks. The active ingredient beclamethasone dipropionate is a type of glucocorticoid containing anti-inflammatory properties while levasalbutamol helps to relax the muscles of the air-passage.

How it works?

Beclamethasone/Levosalbutamol works actively by reducing the inflammation and relaxing the muscles of the affected airway passage, thereby giving sufficient relief to the patient.

The medication contains Levasalbutamol is a beta 2 adrenergic receptor that helps to relax the muscles in a smooth way that make breathing in and out of the lungs very comfortably. The combination of the two ingredients helps the patient having asthma to breath comfortably.

Dosage information

A device is provided with the Aerocort inhaler with sufficient quantity of medication to administer the 200-metered dose. The doctor will provide you with proper instruction how and when to use the inhaler. The doctors might advice to some of them either 2, 3 or 4 time inhalation per day.  The dosage always depends on the doctors who treat the patients accordingly looking into the severity of the patient. Therefore you need to be very attentive when the doctors advices you the dosages.

What if you miss a dose?

The doctor’s advice has to be strictly followed.  Inhaling can be done well in time so as to avoid the severe attack of breathing.  You cannot miss inhaling.

What if you overdose?

Patient should always consult the doctor because dosages differ from patient to patient with respect to their condition being treated. If the prescribed dose is not affecting do not take overdose it is better to consult your doctor.

Things to be taken care of

Strictly follow the instructions given by the doctor, as the medication may be unsafe fo some patients therefore in case you are taking some other medication then it has to be brought to the notice of your doctor before taking the inhaler.

If the patient is pregnant it has to be informed to the doctor. The patient having some type of allergy or any other illness has to be told to the concerned doctor. The inhaler is provided just for the prevention of asthma and not curing of asthma.
